WhatSpy
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how WhatSpy ("WhatSpy", "we", "us")
collects, uses, and shares information when you use the WhatSpy mobile application
(the "App"). By using the App you agree to this Policy.
WhatSpy is an entertainment and informational tool that produces
AI-generated estimates about chat conversations you choose to import
or describe. It is not a surveillance service and does not access anyone's account,
device, or messages on its own.
1. Information we process
- Conversation content you provide. When you import a chat export
file or paste conversation text for analysis, that text is processed to generate the
analysis. Chat content may be transmitted to our analysis backend and to our AI
processing provider to produce results (see "Third parties").
- Target details you enter. A name and phone number you type to
label a scan. This is used only to organize your scans within the App.
- Purchase & subscription data. Managed by Apple and by our
billing provider (RevenueCat) — e.g. product purchased, transaction identifiers,
entitlement status. We never receive your full payment card details.
- Device & usage data. A random installation identifier,
device model / OS version, app version, in-app events (screens viewed, features used),
and crash diagnostics.
- Approximate location. A coarse, IP-based country estimate used to
localize currency and phone formats. We do not collect precise GPS location.
- Advertising identifiers. Only if you grant permission through the
iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt, an advertising identifier may be used for
measurement and attribution.
2. How we use information
- To provide the analysis and features you request.
- To process and validate purchases and subscriptions.
- To operate, secure, debug, and improve the App.
- To measure app performance and marketing effectiveness (where permitted).
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Third parties we share with
We share only what is necessary for these services to function:
- Google Firebase — analytics and app data storage.
- RevenueCat and Apple — purchase processing and validation.
- AI processing provider — conversation text you submit is sent to a
third-party large-language-model provider to generate the analysis.
- ipinfo — coarse IP-based country lookup.
- Meta (Facebook) and TikTok SDKs — advertising measurement /
attribution, active only where you consent.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data retention
Conversation content submitted for analysis is retained only as long as needed to
produce and return your results, and is not used to build advertising profiles. Account
and usage data are retained while your installation is active and for a reasonable period
afterwards, unless a longer period is required by law.
5. Your choices & rights
- You can decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt to stop advertising tracking.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.
- Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR / CCPA) you may request access to, or deletion
of, your data by contacting us.
6. Children
WhatSpy is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not
knowingly collect data from children.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures (such as encryption in transit) to protect data.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the
"Last updated" date above.
